| About Omsk
Omsk (Omck) was founded in 1716 by the troop of Ivan Bukhgolts. It is situated on two rivers - the powerful Irtysh and the quiet Om. With years passed Omsk has turned into the centre of West Siberia. Now the population of Omsk is over 1,200,000 inhabitants. The weather in Siberia is different from England, even though it is on the same Longtitude almost, in winter the temperature can reach minus 40 deg celsius (current record minus 50c) in summer it can be plus 40deg celsius. |
